Selections for your super Saturday:

The Local Folk Fest goes off tonight at the Center for the Performing Arts in Eagle Rock, with a pretty stellar lineup of L.A. bands: Voxhaul Broadcast (11 p.m.), Nico Stai (10), the Sea of Cortez (9), Summer Darling (8), Hi Ho Silver Oh (7) and Telegram (6). Buzz Bands LA will be presiding over the music selections between sets. It’s a good deal for $10.
‣ Beat-scene wunderkind Baths [check out the profile that ran in the L.A. Times this week] plays to a sold-out Troubadour.
‣ L.A. songstress Jen Hirsh – that’s a video of “The Better Half,” above – celebrates the release of her album “Myself in Two” with a show at the Hotel Cafe. Earlier at the Cahuenga Boulevard venue, David Berkeley celebrates the release of his “Some Kind of Cure.”
Alexi Murdoch brings his rich songcraft to the Bootleg Theater, supported by the Watson Twins.
‣ And in the Legends Dept., Herbie Hancock (joined by Wayne Shorter and Dave Holland) perform at sold-out Walt Disney Concert Hall.
