Sunday’s touts including two Japan benefits…

‣ Acoustic singer-songwriter duo The Milk Carton Kids (previously known just as Kenneth Pattengale and Joey Ryan) play two shows tonight to celebrate the release of their latest album, “Retrospect,” [see “Laredo”] at Hotel Cafe.
‣ Russsian-born pop artist Marina V. kicks off a Sunday residency for April over at the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood.
Dante Vs. Zombies, Grande Elegance, The Black Apples and more dedicate their day and night to a benefit show for Japan down in Long Beach at Alex’s Bar. Starts at 3:00 p.m..
Abe Vigoda, Puro Instinct, Julianna Barwick, and Sister Crayon (that’s their video for “I’m Still The Same Person” above ) play a free KXSC Fest at USC. Acoustic sets will be provided by Ana Caravelle and Brooke and River. The festival begins at 4:00 p.m..
Pete Yorn headlines House of Blues Anaheim with Ben Kweller as support.
‣ Japan Earthquake/Tsunami/Radiation Relief Benefit Show has Moses Campbell, Skull Tape and more piling into The Smell at 2:00 p.m. to raise funds as well.
