[New tracks from artists we haven’t heard from a while, give or take three, four or five years…]

The Rapture, “How Deep Is Your Love” ”“”“ NYC’s the Rapture has put their fans through a very slow wait; it’s taken them five years to put out a new album. Their forthcoming album, “In The Grace of Your Love” will finally be released Sept. 9 via DFA, and our first taste from the dance-punk band offers some heavy disco beats and a marvelous saxophone solo. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, “Same Mistake” ”“”“ It’s been four years since these Brooklynites released an LP. Rock quintet Clap Your Hands Say Yeah will offer their long-awaited follow-up to “Some Loud Thunder” with “Hysterical” on Sept. 12 via V2. Produced by John Congleton (David Byrne, Modest Mouse, Walkmen), new songs such as “Same Mistake” still feature Ounsworth’s poppy vocals but have a touch of lush strings this time around.

Her Space Holiday, “Ghost in the Garden” ”“”“ It’s only been three years since Marc Bianchi’s last album, “XOXO, Panda And The New Kid Revial.” However, what differentiates him from the other two bands in this pack is that his upcoming self-titled record may be his final one. Who knows what Bianchi may personally have planned next, but Her Space Holiday fans will be able to cherish the last collection of forlorn electronic synth-pop songs on August 16 via No More Good Ideas.
