Mainstream music under the stars, and the red-hot residencies:
‣ Maroon 5, Train and Gavin DeGraw do the Hollywood Bowl.
‣ Sugarland, Sara Bareilles, Casey James team up at the Greek Theatre.
‣ The hottest free show in town? It certainly has been every Monday this month – Crystal Antlers close out their residency at the Echo, supported by the Fuse!, Lovely Bad Things and Manhattan Murder Mystery.
‣ Big Moves, Airlines and Yoya set the table for the final night of LA Font’s residency at the Silverlake Lounge.
‣ Andy Clockwise winds up his stand at the Satellite, supported by Useless Keys and Bowery Beasts.
‣ The finale of Races’ residency at the Bootleg Theater includes a set from Pageants and some “special guests.” Milo Greene.
‣ White Arrows does It’s a School Night – which this week moved to El Cid (for one week only).
‣ And Malaysian-born singer-songwriter Yuna, her debut EP out on the Fader label earlier this year, does the second night of her two-week mini-residency at the Hotel Cafe (it’s an early set). That’s her taking ownership of Nirvana’s “Come As You Are,” above.
