The 411 on 911:
‣ Summer nights at the Hollywood Bowl keep getting better every week. The National headlines tonight with Neko Case and Sharon Van Etten as extraordinary support.
‣ Puerto Rican rockers Dávila 666 return to the Echo (early show) with their 60s and 70s inspired sound. (That’s that video for ‘Tu” above.) Cheap Time also brings their garage rock from Tennessee, in addition to local rebellious punk band FIDLAR. [See “Waiting For the Man.”]
‣ Coachella was the last time SoCal saw Welsh band The Joy Formidable, but they return for a show at Detroit Bar as they continue their tour in support of their album, “The Big Roar.”
‣ Australian experimental noise rock band HTRK also headlines the Echo (later show) as part of Part Time Punks. Tropic of Cancer supports.
