Not a simple Sunday:

‣ The Hollywood Bowl and its indie rocking summer series comes to an end with TV on the Radio headlining. The night’s chock-full lineup of artists also includes Arctic Monkeys, Panda Bear, Warpaint and Smith Westerns.
‣ Folk singer-songwriter James Vincent McMorrow plays a second night at the Bootleg. Grab his cover of “Wicked Game” below. William Elliot Whitmore co-headlines again, and L.A.’s John Gold returns as opening support.

‣ The 27th annual Abbot-Kinney Festival takes over Venice. The day’s lineup includes Thundercat, Kisses, Mia Doi Todd, Family of the Year, Dumbfounded, Swahili Blonde, Hanni El Khatib and Seasons. [Set times here.]
‣ If you’re not up for driving to the West side, Tarfest Music Festival at the Historic La Brea Tar Pits also features a lineup with a stellar local-artist lineup. You can catch sets by Everest, Saint Motel, Obi Best, A House for Lions, Infantree and Ash Panda. [Set times here.]
Veronica Falls celebrates the release of their long-awaited self-titled debut album with a show at the Echoplex. (That’s their video for “Bad Feeling” above.) Neverever and Sea Lions play as support.
