What a Wednesday night you have in store:

The Kooks play the first of two nights at the Music Box behind their new album “Junk of the Heart.” Yawn opens.
Peter Murphy and She Wants Revenge bring their co-headlining tour to Club Nokia.
‣ Resurgent L.A. quartet the Jealous Sound [see “Your Eyes Were Shining”] play the Echo, supported by Bad Veins and Soft Swells.
‣ This month’s It Girl Lana Del Rey holds forth at the sold-out Troubadour. Her video for “Video Games,” above, has been viewed more than 10 million times. Really.
Shana Halligan, the ex-Bitter:Sweet siren, debut her solo music at the Bootleg, supported by the Sweet Hurt. [See our November post for an exclusive song.]
‣ Singer, songwriter and comic book artist Jeffrey Lewis visits L.A. behind his new album “A Turn in the Dream.” Lewis will do a 7 p.m. in-store at Origami Vinyl – it will include a multimedia presentation – and later perform at the Echo Country Outpost.
‣ Denver-based pop trio Tennis, whose second album “Young and Old” (produced by the Black Keys’ Patrick Carney) will be out in February, headlines the Satellite, with Miniature Tigers and Devon Williams opening.
‣ And at Lot 1 Cafe, a couple of young bands doing sophicated pop – Monte Mar and Big Moves.
