Tonight in L.A.: Rachel Goodrich/Sister Ruby Band, Benefit for Jonathan Toubin, Barrio Tiger, Pebs

A shorter schedule as we wind down toward the holiday:

Rachel Goodrich and the Sister Ruby Band team up for a show at the Bootleg. Goodrich’s self-titled album came out early in the year (that’s the video for the non-album track “Wereman,” above), and Johny Ruby this fall released one of our favorite local albums of the year, “In Cold Blood.”
‣ A benefit for New York DJ Jonathan Toubin, who was critically injured in a freak car crash in Portland, Ore., in early December, goes off at the Echo, with Pink Mountaintops, Bleached, Tearist, Margaret Cho and Neil Hamburger among the performers.
