Members of the Fresno indie-rock band the Fay Wrays were mourning the death last Saturday of Paul Albert Harper, one of three musicians to play bass for the band. Harper died at age 27 in Chico. The cause was thought to be alcohol poisoning. Drummer Eli Reyes, who also plays in the the Fresno- and L.A.-based band Rademacher as well the Quiet Americans, along with Fay Wrays singer-guitarist Ben McEntee, posted a tribute to Harper on their Facebook page: “It was a humbling experience to share a stage with such a vibrant artist and friend. He was truly a gifted human being who was so easy to bond with and to love. He will forever be missed.”
RIP fellow musician.
