Your wonderful Wednesday:

‣ It’s a night of crackling modern power-pop at the El Rey Theatre – Ben Kweller headlines behind his new album “Go Fly a Kite,” supported by Kentucky’s Sleeper Agent, fresh out of Coachella and getting some ink from the Times, and NYC’s the Dig, whose sophomore album “Midnight Flowers” is on the way in late May. That’s Sleeper Agent’s video for “Get Burned,” above.
‣ Talk about your dry spells: Vintage psychedelic rockers Strawberry Alarm Clock play the Satellite behind their first album of new material in 42 years, “Wake Up Where You Are.” “We’re gonna kick some psychedelic ass,” says keyboardist Mark Weitz, last spotted playing with Billy Corgan’s solo venture Spirits in the Sky.
‣ Great local bill at On the Rox headed up by Soft Swells, whose debut album is getting some deserved attention. They are joined by Blondfire, Miracle Parade and the Chevin.
‣ And Chevelle rocks Club Nokia, with Dead Sara opening.
