Video: Metric, ‘Youth Without Youth’

So what if Metric‘s “Youth Without Youth,” the first single off their new album “Synthetica” (out today via MMI and Mom + Pop), sounds a bit like Muse. The band’s “Fantasies” (2009) had a glimmer of glam-pop, and they’ve run with it by turning up the slink through Emily Haines’ vocals on the new record. Since the frontwoman’s idea of “synthetica” first derived from a “Blade Runner” reference, Justin Broadbent’s sinuously seductive take on the song seems more than appropriate.
