Bloomfest, the annual one-day arts, music, crafts and food event in the downtown Los Angeles arts district, not only got bigger and better this year, it seemed to grow even more eclectic. Saturday’s free street party offered attendees a relaxing afternoon and evening in and around the shops, galleries and restaurants near 3rd and Traction, with three hubs of music – a main stage showcasing some of the city’s bright indie bands, an old-school stage highlighted by Mike Watt and the Missingmen and the Gears and dance area catering to the electro and experimental. The main stage was capped by performances from Superhumanoids and the Neighbourhood, with Grace Woodroofe, Helena and NO delivering strong sets while the sun was still up. Here are some images from the day.
