‣ The highly anticipated show at Hollywood Forever Cemetery with Sigur Ros happens tonight in support of the Icelandic post-rock band’s latest album “Valtari.” [That’s their gorogeous Alma Har’el-directed video for “Fjögur píanó” above, starring Shia LaBeouf.] L.A. artist Julia Holter opens.
‣ It’s double the fun at the Greek Theatre with performances by Andrew Bird [see his video for “Give It Away”] and Sharon Van Etten.
‣ Indie poppers Tennis play El Rey Theatre in support of their album “Young & Old.”  J. Thoven supports.
‣ The Fresh & Onlys member Wymond Miles does a solo show [see “Pale Moon” from last week] at the Echo. Young Prisms and Exploding Flowers round out the bill.
‣ San Francisco’s cello-laden synth-rocking trio Geographer continues Levitt Pavilion’s summer outdoor series in MacArthur Park. DJ Soda Pop also spins.
‣ The 3 Clubs has a solid lineup featuring Restavrant, Low Flying Owls and Zander Schloss (of Circle Jerks).
‣ Red Hot Chili Peppers plays their second L.A. date this weekend. This time, OFF! joins them at the Staples Center.
‣ The Neighbourhood joins British trio Animal Kingdom at the Observatory in the Constellation Room.
‣ And Shonen Knife, Mallard, the Dollyrots and Vicky & the Vegents take on Alex’s Bar.
