Thursday, oh Thursday:

‣ Indie originals Lilys (they released one of the first LPs on Slumberland Records) don’t seem to get out much these days, so tongiht’s Chickfactor Magazine 20th anniversary show at the Bootleg figures to be a special occasion. Also playing: Stevie Jackson of Belle & Sebastian, the Legendary Jim Ruiz Group and Kim Baxter.
‣ In the mood for a matinee? Poolside and Haim perform at the free 5353 Music Art Fest in the parking lot at TBWAChiatDay (5353 Grosvenor Blvd.) Also playing: The Burn Riffs and Las Brujas.
The Bixby Knolls celebrate the release of their single “Through the Cracks” with a headlining gig at the Satellite, supported by Future Ghost and In the Valley Below.
‣ And San Diego punk-rock genre-mashers the Burning of Rome celebrate the release of their new album “With Us” with a show at the Viper Room. That’s Franck Deron’s video for “Cowboys & Cut Cigars,” above, but, of course, that’s that them; it’s a band of Tijuana street performers they enlisted. The trip south of the border, apparently, got scary.
