‣ Back in August, Athens, Ga., trio the Whigs did a little KCSN / Buzz Bands LA-presented show at the Federal Bar in North Hollywood and rocked the joint in a way that befitted the title of their new, fourth album, “Enjoy the Company.” Tonight they pay L.A. another visit, playing the Bootleg Bar supported by the most excellent local trio the Record Company. ‣ No new album from Los Campesinos! yet – just a random B-side called “Tiptoe Through the Two Bits” – but the Welsh fun bunch headline the El Rey Theatre, supported by the Lovely Bad Things and Moses Campbell.
‣ ZZ Ward plays to a sold-out Troubadour behind her album “Til the Casket Drops.” A B & the Sea suuport.
‣ Woods visits the Echo behind their latest album “Bend Beyond,” and White Fence and Randy Randall open.
‣ And Haim opens for Twin Shadow at the Fonda Theatre.
