Soundgarden has “Been Away Too Long,” if you believe the bands fans and their video. Chris Cornell and crew are back in a big way – “King Animal,” their first album since 1996, came out two weeks ago, and tonight the band headlines the Fonda Theatre. (They return to L.A. for a three-night stint at the Wiltern starting Feb. 15.)
‣ If those Seattle dudes aren’t loud enough for you, maybe you’re ready for the Metalocalypse? Dethklok hits the Palladium, supported by All That Remains, Machine Head and the Black Dahlia Murder.
‣ And at the Central SAPC, Jhameel, Hustle Roses and Kenan Bell join in for the final night of Gavin Turek’s residency.
