‣ KCRW’s Invisible Children Holiday Benefit brings Devotchka (with a seven-piece orchestra) to the Troubadour along with a host of local luminaries, including White Arrows, Night Terrors of 1927, Whispertown and the Colourist at the Troubadour
‣ Stevie Wonder’s 17th Annual House Full of Toys goes off at the Nokia Theatre.
‣ The Xmas Fest benefit for Toys for Tots at the Echo Country Outpost features Races, Raw Geronimo, Gothic Tropic, LA Font and many more.
‣ The second night of the 10th annual HoHotel 2012 holiday benefit at the Hotel Café offers a lineup that includes Broken Anchor, Cary Brothers, Holly Conlan, Madi Diaz, Kate Earl, Harper Blynn, Skyler Stonestreet and many others.
‣ Garage-rocker Ty Segall blazes into the El Rey Theatre behind his hew album “Twins;” Bleached, Night Beats and Pangea open. That’s Segall’s video for “The Hill,” above.
‣ The Weeknd plays the Orpheum in support of his record “Triology,” a compilation of his 2011 mixtapes “House of Balloons,” “Thursday” and “Echoes of Silence.”
‣ Fun night at the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa – Capital Cities and Saint Motel head up a night that includes Le Blorr and Rusty Buckets.
‣And Ozomatli does a hometown show at Club Nokia, with Buyepongo opening.
