It’s a fabulous Friday:

‣ We’ll start this Friday on the local tip: L.A. quartet the Hectors celebrate the release of their first album “Her Dark Majesty” [sample the wares here] at the Satellite, supported by Haunted Summer, TS & the Past Haunts and Spaceships.
‣ Partying with the mammals: Dan Deacon and Japanther team up at the monthly First Fridays at the the Natural History Museum.
‣ We swooned over Matthew Houck at SXSW, and shared Phosphorescent’s video for “Song for Zula,” and tonight the band plays the Troubadour behind the acclaimed new album “Muchacho.”
‣ With their new album “Wash the Sins Not Only the Face” just out on Matador, Brighton, U.K. trio Esben & the Witch visit the Bootleg Bar, supported by Heliotropes and VUM. That’s Esben’s video for “Despair,” above.
‣ Yes, that’s Soul Asylum, a tick over 20 years after their biggest record “Grave Dancers Union,” visiting the Roxy Theatre (with the Bolts opening). David Pirner and crew’s last album was last year “Delayed Reaction,” their first in six years.
‣ And if you love the Coachella lineup but don’t like the pricetag, then you’ll have a blast at El Cid tonight, where the Black Crystal Wolf Kids, the cover band that specializes in songs by contemporary indie-rock luminaries, does its annual “Tribute to Coachella.” No, really, it’s good.
