Brokechella, the one-day music and arts event that bills itself as “A Fest for the Rest of Us,” returns to downtown L.A. on Saturday with three stages of music, as well as a potpourri of activities including installations, a photo booth, food trucks and assorted vendors.

The music offerings are highlighted by a host of local favorites, including garage-blues trio the Dead Ships, art-rockers Body Parts, electro maven Mystery Skulls and indie-folk duo yOya. Goofball Bay Area funksters Planet Booty join the fun, along with L.A. artists Krea & the Lesbians, King Washington, Hello Echo, Manhattan Murder Mystery and Tülips.

The brainchild of cARTel, a multi-media, multi-discipline production company, Brokechella aspires to a DIY version of the Coachella experience at a slice of the price. Admission is $10 and tickets are available here. The event (21-and-older) runs from 4 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. at Six01 Studios, 601 S. Anderson St.
