Buzz Bands LA Show, today at 11 on Moheak Radio

moheakblackThink of today’s Buzz Bands LA Show as a Weekend Preview – starting at 11 a.m. today on Moheak Radio, I’ll have a heaping helping of music from bands playing the Jubilee Music Festival today and Saturday in downtown L.A. In fact, I’ll kick off the show with three segments devoted to the Jubilee, including music from Kitten, Great White Buffalo, Francisco the Man, Incan Abraham, Bleached and Broadheds. Later in the show, I’ll have a block devoted to bands playing the opener of Chinatown Summer Nights, the free, all-ages show going off Saturday, June 15. Included: a nugget from the Furys, circa 1978, the year they became the first rock band to play the historic Madame Wong’s. I’ll also have fresh-out-of-the-mailbox songs from Crash Kings, Elle Belle, Cannoneers, Parade of Lights and Dead Reverend, along with the latest singles from the 88, Cillie Barnes, Davis Fetter and Pacific Air. It’ll be a great two hours, promise.
