‣ It’s a night of hip hop at the Greek Theatre with LL Cool J, Ice Cube, Public Enemy and De La Soul all joining each other on stage.
‣ The New LA Folk Fest hosts a special evening at the historic Golden West Church by presenting John C Reilly, Tom Brosseau [pictured] and Leslie Stevens.
‣ Earlier in the day as part of Grand Ole Echo, the Dustbowl Revival, Lil’ Dawnee Frinta, Nelson Bragg and Great Pacific all play an early show.
‣ Later tonight at the Echo, Part Time Punks present a show featuring United Ghosts, Ballerina Black and Space Waves.
‣ Over at the Satellite, Sunken Ships celebrate the release of their “Mystery Friend” EP. Seasons and the Vapes join the fetivities.
‣ And over at the Smell, it’s a night with Bad Antics, Cigarette Bums, Washing Machines and Hobart W Fink.
