Let’s get this Monday started:

Future Bible Heroes visit the Echo, but without a turn from principal songwriter Stephin Merritt (Magnetic Fields), who continues to suffer the effects of an ear ailment that makes it painful for him to perform live. Future Bible Heroes’ new album “Partygoing” is just out on Merge (who also released the band’s whole catalog, “Memories of Love, Eternal Youth and Partygoing”). The live band features Claudia Gonson and Shirley Simms, both who play in Magnetic Fields, along with Christopher Ewen and Anthony Kaczynski. That’s the new video for “Living, Loving, Partygoing,” above.
‣ U.K. trio London Grammar makes it L.A. debut at It’s a School Night at Bardot, where they are joined by Mystery Skulls and Tropical Popsicle.
‣ And now for the July residency snapshot: Folk-rockers Miner [whom we introduced last August] play the Bootleg Bar, supported by Harper Blynn, the Cerny Brothers and Tyler Lyle.
‣ Psych-pop ensemble HOTT MT entertains at the Echo, joined on opening night by Tapioca & the Flea, Oh Boy Les Mecs and Gazoota.
Last American Buffalo [last heard from in 2012] has a new album on the way, and the residency at the Satellite. Mojo Stone and the Sister Ruby Band join the fun tonight.
‣ At the Silverlake Lounge , it’s rock quintet the Absolute, joined by Naked Walrus, Tomemitsu and the Roof Beam Carpenters.
‣ And two residencies of note in Orange County – Nightmare Air rocks the Detroit Bar (and opening night features the return of the Happy Hollows), and Max & the Moon are doing Mondays at the Constellation Room.
