‣ Wolfmother is back for one more round at the Troubadour. Get there early to see singer-songwriter Kieran Leonard.
‣ So many residencies, so little time. Crashing the Miner residency at the Bootleg Bar tonight is Florida’s Roadkill Ghost Choir, whose indie twang has earned comparisons to Wilco, My Morning Jacket and a bunch more. That’s their banjo-fueled “Beggar’s Guild,” above. The Black Apples and the Shivers also play at the Bootleg.
‣ And among the other stellar residencies: HOTT MT (at the Echo with Gothic Tropic and VUM); Last American Buffalo (at the Satellite with Shane Alexander and SanguinDrake); and Nightmare Air (at the Detroit Bar with Cobalt Cranes and Cat Party); and the Absolute (at the Silverlake Lounge with Monroe, Lucciana Costa and Will and the Wonts).
