Some superb shows on tap for your Thursday:

‣ Some personnel and some mailing addresses have changes, but rock quintet Everest remains a huge force. Now split between Nashville and L.A. and with guitarist Aaron Lee Tasjan and Dan Bailey joining Russell Pollard, El Thomson and Joel Graves, the band visits the Satellite tonight, supported by Future Fix.
‣ The Twilight Concert Series brings Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue and the Dustbowl Revival to the Santa Monica Pier for a free night of music.
‣ German electro agitators Moderat play Club Nokia behind their new album “//.” That’s their video for “Bad Kingdom,” above.
‣ Singer/percussionist Dendê and his band bring their rhythmic Afro-Brazilian music to the Skirball Center for a free show as part of the Sunset Concert Series.
‣ South American tango fusion collective Bajofondo headlines the House of Blues, where they’re joined by the legendary Shuggie Otis.
‣ Indie-popper YACHT head up a big night of music at the Troubadour that includes NO, White Rainbow and James Supercave.
‣ And the free Out of Office concert series, which kicks off at 5:30 p.m., brings three local indie bands to Grand Park in downtown L.A. – Spirit Vine, Halfbluud and Infantree.

Note: The Icona Pop show at the Fonda Theatre has been postponed.
