Happy heated Thursday:

‣ Hey, Eve is back. The Grammy-winning rapper/actress released “Lip Lock,” her first album in 11 years, in May and is currently on her first North American tour in a decade, which tonight stops at the Roxy Theatre.
Gardens & Villa have been away for a while too – maybe the Santa Barbara quintet has been secretly working on the followup to their 2011 debut on Secretly Canadian? They surface tonight to play the free Twilight Concert Series at the Santa Monica Pier, supported by Mr. Little Jeans.
Seven Saturdays heads up a big lineup at the Satellite, where Halfbluud, New Zealand’s Black City Lights and Motion CNTRL join in.
‣ And Miranda Lee Richards, Magic Mirror and L’Aura Moiré play a kickoff party for this weekend’s Desert Stars Festival at Los Globos. David J does a DJ set.
