Marion Hodges to DJ on Friday at Buzz Bands LA’s 5-Year Anniversary party at the Satellite

We consider ourselves indie-pop devotees at Buzz Bands LA, but on most matters involving blissful, jangling guitars we defer to Marion Hodges, the KCRW DJ, show promoter, dance-night host, record-spinner and fellow Pastels fans whom we met once upon a time over a Tullycraft song at Pehrspace. Hodges, who’s been known to keep us sane in the wee hours with her selections on the KCRW show “The Lab,” will be DJing, before, between and after bands this Friday night at Buzz Bands LA’s 5-Year Anniversary party at the Satellite.

Army Navy headlines the night, with Dream Boys and Charlie Clark supporting. Doors are at 8:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $8 and available here. A limited $5 discount list is available to those who RSVP to buzzbandsla(at)gmail(dot)com.
