‣ The everlasting Depeche Mode headlines a big night at the Staples Center  and fellow electro band Crystal Castles supports.
The Lumineers headline their second night in SoCal this week. This time they’re at the Greek Theatre, where Dr. Dog serves as direct support again and Nathaniel Rateliff opens.
Vampire Weekend and Beirut both do their second SoCal show of the week as well. This time they team up at the Hollywood Bowl.
‣ Over at the Echoplex, Wild Belle returns for another show in L.A. in support of their debut “Isles.” Merge Records’ latest signing Saint Rich also plays in support of their debut “Beyond the Drone” (out Oct. 1). L.A.’s Avid Dancer opens.That’s Wild Belle’s video for “Another Girl” above.
‣ Power poppers Jimmy Eat World headline the Hollywood Palladium. Matt Pond supports.
‣ It’s a loud night at the Troubadour with extreme metal British band Carcass stopping by to play songs off their latest album “Surgical Steel.” San Jose’s Exhumed also joins in on the fun.
The White Buffalo, who just released their album “Shadows, Greys & Evil Ways,” and southern indie rockers Jamestown Revival team up at the El Rey Theatre.
‣ The Satellite continues the weekend with the a solid local lineup featuring the Dead Ships, Wake Up Lucid, Tapioca and the Flea, TULIPS.
