As advertised, the inaugural Festival Supreme on Saturday at the Santa Monica Pier had the feeling of a rock ’n’ roll festival, only for comedy. Billy Idol and the Lonely Island were surprise guests, padding a lineup that featured Adam Sandler, Eric Idle, Zach Galifianakis, “Mr. Show” and its cast, Conan O’Brien, Reggie Watts and Fred Armisen, among many others. The festival was curated by Kyle Gass and Jack Black of Tenacious D [top photo].
