The crowd was light but the energy was high Thursday night when New Jersey three-piece Screaming Females roared into the Echoplex. Frontwoman Marissa Paternoster was on her game, shredding on both guitar and vocals as the agitated crowd bounced and moshed. Setting the stage for the headliners were L.A.’s Upset, who recently released their debut “She’s Gone” and were joined by bassist Rachel Haden.
