Dusky-voiced L.A. singer-songwriter Arrica Rose has a memo for Jesus Christ, Santa and the President: “It’s that time of year / to remember love more than fear / now let’s take the corporate outta Christmas.” Her stripped-down original “Corporate Outta Christmas” is a gentle reminder of the intended spirit of the holiday, and if you’re out shopping this weekend, you might need one. Rose, who’s working on a new batch of tunes to follow up March’s “Lucky” EP, is offering the song as a free download.
