@KRBronson recommends: Electro torchbearers the Crystal Method return this week with their first album since 2009, a self-titled affair that was delayed by Scott Kirkland’s health problems last year. Kirkland and co-conspirator Ken Jordan are in top form here, and Thursday night they play the El Rey Theatre in a show that will be a milestone for the duo – it’s a full-band affair. (P.S. – Good for you if you’re going to one of the Eagles’ shows at the new, improved Forum.)

@Seraphina_L recommends: If you want to start your weekend off on a rowdy note, then Parquet Courts, White Fence and Destruction Unit should do it. Parquet Courts, one of last year’s buzziest bands at SXSW, jumps from a sold-out show at the Echo to a show at the Fonda Theatre on Friday. They’ll be playing in support of their excellent re-released album “Light Up Gold.”
