‣ Islands headline the Troubadour behind its newest album “Ski Mask.” Haunted Summer and Crash (Christopher Richard of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros and the Deadly Syndrome) open.
‣ Together Pangea celebrates today’s release of their album “Badillac” by rocking the Smell, supported by the Audacity, the Aquadolls and Wand at the Smell
‣ Josh Ritter’s acoustic tour supporting his latest release “The Beast in Its Tracks” visits the Wilshire Ebell Theatre, where Gregory Alan Isakov opens.
‣ Tom Brosseau has a new album out today too – it’s called “Grass Punks,” and tonight he plays Largo.
‣ Rising pop singer Betty Who – the nom de tune of Sydney, Australia, native Jessica Anne Newham, newly signed to RCA – headlines the Echo, supported by Holychild and Avid Dancer. Above is Betty Who’s video for “Somebody Loves You.”
‣ And a couple of residencies roar into their third week – Tall Tales & the Silver Lining at Los Globos and Hudson at the Viper Room.
