‣ Ben Lee heads up a lineup of 20-plus artists from Australia – most of them in the U.S. en route to doing showcases at the South by Southwest Music Festival – at the annual Aussie BBQ LA that starts at 2 p.m. at the Bootleg Theater and Bar. Also on board for the long day of tunes: Sun Rai, Gossling, OXBLVD, Glass Towers, the Griswolds, Kid Mac, Gang of Youths, the Creases, the Jungle Giants, Thief, Lime Cordiale, Bellusira, Money For Rope, Vancouver Sleep Clinic, KLP, D.A. Calf, Wax Motif, Peking Duk and High Tension. Lee, who makes L.A. his home base now, last year released his 10th album “Ayahuasca: Welcome to the Work.”
‣ The Parson Red Heads celebrate 10 years as a band with a show at the Satellite featuring Mimicking Birds and the World Record.
‣ And Vancouver, B.C.’s Dead Ghosts, who released an album last year on Burger Records, play the Church on York, supported by Adult Books and Tacocat.
