The War on Drugs’ shows at the Troubadour over the weekend were nothing if not exhilarating; the Philadelphia indie-rockers, whose new album “Lost in the Dream” has won acclaim virtually across the board, gave a two-hour performance that seemed too big for a club venue. Fronting a six-piece, singer-guitarist Adam Granduciel punctuated his songs with extended but tasteful guitar solos and near the end delivered a sterling cover of John Lennon’s “Mind Games.” White Laces opened.
