Who: Chromeo on the Main Stage
In 3 or Fewer Words: Safe bet electro-funk
Memorable Because: Supposedly there’s an arms race of innovation in the electronic dance world, but while the upstart laptop jocks crawl over each other to get to the top of the Sahara Tent billing, electro-funk vets Chromeo confidently commanded the Main Stage. There will be crazier molly-popping throwdowns this weekend, but Chromeo’s cross-genre veteran performance was a family-friendly affair. Dave 1 and P-Thugg can play virtually any kind of music, and well. Flawless for the 20 minutes I danced, erm, passed by.
