Arcade Fire is playing a surprise show at the Roxy. No word yet on whether/how/when any tickets will be on sale; the band was offering 30 pairs in a Facebook promotion. Watch this space.
‣ The Australia-bred, L.A.-based duo Wunder Wunder – that’s Aaron Shanahan and Benjamin Plant (both of Miami Horror) – play It’s a School Night at Bardot. Also on board: Max Jury, Fascinator and Chris Arena. Wunder Wunder’s album “Everything Infinite” is out July 15, and that’s their video for “Coastline,” above.
Lawrence Rothman continues his residency at the Bootleg Bar, supported by Gallant, Jarrell Perry and Ford Perfect.
‣ At the Silverlake Lounge, it’s April residents Banta, along with the Cannon Rays, Fleurs and Ivory Devilles.
Mosco Rosco continue their residency at the Satellite, supported by Fenech-Soler, the Silver Palms and SD3. Oh, and Richard Marx is the band’s special guest.
‣ And Mystic Braves are back for another Monday at the Echo, joined by Corners, Joel Jerome & Babies on Acid and Drinking Flowers.
