‣ Experimental pop wunderkind Merrill Garbus, aka Tune-Yards (or tUnE-yArDs, if you must), plays a sold-out show at the Fonda Theatre, supported by Sylvan Esso, Above, the video for “Water Fountain.”
‣ Australian quartet the Jezabels rock the El Rey Theatre behind their new album “The Brink.” Gold & youth open.
‣ L.A. rockers Run Run Run plays the Viper Room on a night that also features an opening set by the band’s frontman, Xander Smith, who’s celebrating the release of his second solo album “Outside.” Nomi Abadi and Russian Wives also play.
‣ And at the Hollywood Bowl, it’s OneRepublic and the Script.
