‣ Guided By Voices visit the Fonda Theatre behind their latest album “Cool Planet,” with Bobby Bare Jr. supporting. That’s their video, a Simon & Garfunkel parody, for “Bad Love Is Easy to Do,” above.
‣ The Both (the new collaboration between Aimee Mann and Ted Leo) play the Glass House.
‣ Pelican plays the El Rey Theatre behind “Forever Becoming,” the Midwesterners’ first album in four years. Tombs open.
‣ Ben Watt (of Everything But the Girl) is on his first solo tour of the U.S., and he visits the Echoplex where he will be backed by ex-Suede guitarist Bernard Butler. Matt Kivel opens.
‣ Detroit electro-rockers Electric Six play the Roxy, supported by Yip Deceiver and Irontom.
‣ And Arizona’s Decker plays the Silverlake Lounge, where they’re joined by Patrolled By Radar, Paul Chesne Band, Wild Awake and Future Loves Past.
