Chinatown Summer Nights kicks off with a Buzz Bands LA-curated lineup featuring EFG (Electric Flower Group), Meiko, Kera & the Lesbians, Babes, StaG and RAJ at the Central Plaza, Chinatown. See set times and stream our sampler here. A craft beer garden curated by Eagle Rock Brewery is conveniently located across the live music stage. There will be plenty of flea market vendors and food trucks in the vicinity, and KCRW DJs Travis Holcombe and Mario Cotto will be spinning at the dance stage.
‣ The annual Low End Theory Festival takes place at the Echoplex with a massive lineup featuring Invisibl Skratch Piklz, the Internet, Nosaj Thing, Daedelus, Baths, Teebs, Dntel, Ras G, Samiyam, Jonwayne, Dibia$e, Mono/Poly, House Shoes, Knxwledge, 6Blocc, Kraddy, Cypress Junkies, Matthewdavid, Thavius Beck, ELOS, Great Dane, Astronautica, Taurus Scott, Anderson Paak, Kamasi Washington and the Breathing Effect.
The Fray headlines the the Greek Theatre in support of their latest album “Helios.” Barcelona and Oh Honey support.
The Both, the union of Aimee Mann and Ted Leo (pictured above) take on  the El Rey Theatre. Nick Diamonds of Islands supports.
Neon Trees, Nightmare & the Cat and Smallpools all team up at the Wiltern.
