Our staff picks of the week:

@KRBronson recommends: It’s another week of irresistible free shows. The top five: Alex Ebert (of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros) and his label Community Music host the “Made in L.A.” night Thursday at the Hammer Museum, with sets from Crash, Jena Malone’s the Shoe and My Hawaii. Also Thursday, Yuna and KING raises their voices at the Twilight Concert Series at the Santa Monica Pier. And also Thursday, the inimitable Loudon Wainwright III holds forth at Levitt Pavlion MacArthur Park. On Friday, it’s Jonathan Wilson headlining opening night of the Fig at 7th Downtown Festival. And Saturday night, Dead Sara rocks Pershing Square. Like, wow.

@Seraphina_L recommends: If you’ve missed A Sunny Day in Glasgow and their textured dream-pop, then you can catch them at the Bootleg on Wednesday. They’ll stopping by in support of their new excellent album “Sea When Absent.” Roses and United Ghosts support. If you’re looking for some soul then Leela James is one way to go. The soul singer performs at the El Rey Theatre on Thursday with new songs from her latest album “Fall For You.”
