The last time we heard from Orenda Fink, she had teamed up once more with Maria Taylor for Azure Ray’s “As Above So Below” EP in 2012. Fink now returns with new material in anticipation of her third solo studio album “Blue Dream.” Angelic had always been one of Fink’s alluring qualities, and her ability to heighten those hazy, sweet vocals into exceptionally ethereal melodies certainly isn’t hidden with songs such as “Holy Holy.” Fink also continues to  show her talent in twisting and turning those melodies like a kaleidoscope for psych-pop tunes like “Ace of Cups.” In the appropriately trippy Nik Fackler-directed accompanying clip she sings, “When you are happy / you are loved” with such certainty you’d think she’s been to both sides and returned with enough wisdom for everyone. Fink’s had two years to reflect on life and, so far, she’s relayed her thoughts and emotions beautifully on these two singles. “Blue Dream” – slated for an Aug. 19 release via Saddle Creek – should provide a complete and enchanting palette.
