It’s no secret that San Francisco is, quite rapidly, experiencing a shift in culture that is abandoning it’s artistic charm, simplicity and strange for materialism and deep pockets. What better inspiration could Bay Area natives Adam Stephens and Tyson Vogel aka Two Gallants have to work with for their upcoming release, “We Are Undone?” The duo offer a peak at their fifth album with the newest single and title track which carries their characteristic robustness with a wave-like cadence and infectious falsetto guitar. Feeling estranged from their hometown, Stephens sings, “The field’s dry and barren and there’s blight upon the vine / But as long as your cup’s full everything is fine.” Despite the challenges of the guitar-drum limitations, Two Gallants grind out thrash-blues in a way that could give The Black Keys a run for their money. “We Are Undone” is slated for a Feb 3 release via ATO Records.
