Bass Drum of Death’s raging show at the Echo on Tuesday night was sold out, which was a great thing or bad thing, depending on how you value your body parts. It was the perfect setting for any band whose album is titled “Rip This” — and rip the Mississippi garage-rock trio did. Bodies banged, bodies flew and bodies surfed as BDOD unleashed almost an hour of sonic viscera. Local outfits Beach Party and Criminal Hygiene — each with new songs in tow — set the tone for the night with their typically unchained sets.
