â–º Jessica Lea Mayfield [pictured], the 24-year-old singer-guitarist who made a big statement with last year’s album “Make My Head Sing …” (and who is collaborating with Seth Avett of the Avett Brothers on a batch of Elliott Smith covers), headlines the Echo. Big Harp and Mimicking Birds support.
â–º Sonic magician Daedelus plays the Echoplex, with two emerging rappers, Boogie and Zeroh.
â–º ALO visits the Troubadour, supported by T Sisters.
â–º Speaking of rap, it’s Logic at the Wiltern.
â–º Production quartet Pharaohs headline the Bootleg HiFi, supported by J. Laser (Jordan Lawlor of M83), Sky White Tiger and David Scott Stone.
â–º With a new album “Hope You’re Happy Now” coming next month, Grant Langston & the Supermodels play El Cid, supported by Adrian Krygowski.
â–º And synth-pop duo Moxi celebrates the release of a new EP, “Through the Dark,” playing at the Hotel Café along with Canadian singer Alexz Johnson, the Silent War, WLFPCK and Ed Prosek.
