Video: Maxim Ludwig, ‘All My Nightmares’

If you know Maxim Ludwig from his audacious classic rock outfit the Santa Fe Seven or his alt-rock band Drive He Said, you’d think that, given a proper chance, the singer-guitarist could leap tall buildings in a single bound, and maybe shred a solo while doing it. He’s back to making music as Maxim Ludwig now, and this time it’s old-school soul, fronting an eight-piece band with a horn section. In the outlandish (and NSFW) video for “All My Nightmares,” directed by Thaddeus Ruzicka, he’s clearly going for it, as a nightclub gig goes off the rails. Booze, guns, blood and nudity are involved, not to mention a pretty killer song. Ludwig has a new EP in the works titled “Is That a Real Song or Did You Make it Up Yourself?” We want to meet the person who asked him that.
