Coachella 2015: Cloud Nothings, come feel the noise

Cloud Nothings

Who: Cloud Nothings in the Gobi Tent
In 3 or Fewer Words: Dissertation in disaffection.
Memorable Because: Cloud Nothings provided the only shade of relief in an afternoon overloaded with sun-shining lackadaisical grooves and showboating MCs. Exemplifying everything you ever loved about noise rock and art punk, Dylan Baldi and company perfectly played the part of the geeks in the corner whilst tanned tummies and beefy bros went about their silly business elsewhere. Every second was bliss, but that “Separation” instrumental rock-out, my goodness. 3.5 out of 4 ratty In Utero shirts found at Goodwill.
What I’d Tell Myself For Leaving Cloud Nothings Early to Catch Allah Las: Now there’s some “Psychic Trauma.”
