Coachella 2015: Clean Bandit, sticky sweet in the bright sunshine

2015 Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival - Weekend 1 - Day 2Who: Clean Bandit on the Main Stage
In 3 or Fewer Words: With strings attached.
Memorable Because: Clean Bandit’s fun electro-pop, laced with intricate string arrangements (Grace Chatto on cello and Neil Amin-Smith on violin), made way for an afternoon dance party. With a slew of successful songs, including the worldwide hit “Rather Be,” the quartet featuring vocalist Elisabeth Troy [pictured] turned their first Coachella appearance into the ultimate pick-me-up via positive messages, sticker-than-molasses hooks and powerhouse vocals. “Stronger” included a guest appearance from Alex Newell, who is mostly known for his character Wade “Unique” Adams on “Glee.” However, the cherry on top was their duet with Marina Diamandis (of Marina and the Diamonds) on a new song.
What I’d Tell My Friend Who Was At Lights: Why on earth would I go see a female version of Owl City? Besides, side mullets have never been in.
