► The Sea and Cake’s Sam Prekop, whose latest solo album “The Republic” continues his explorations in modular synths, plays the Hotel Café on a night that also features Panabrite, Sarah Gerritsen, Nick Foster and Reuben Hollebon. Above, the video for “A Geometric” by Mick Ciontea, a Chicago-based artist who uses modular synths to create impressionistic videos.
► Hunny continue their residency at the Bootleg HiFi, joined by Chelsea Lankes and Evan Voytas.
► At the Echo, Tennis System’s residency boasts a lineup of United Ghosts, Nacosta and Young Creatures.
► The Crash Kings, who are recording their residency shows this month with an eye on making a live album, are joined at the Satellite by the Rebel Light, Dead Finger and Jason Achilles Mezilis.
► Electro-pop duo Scavenger Hunt celebrates the forthcoming release of the new single “Wildfire” at It’s a School Night at Bardot. The evening also features Walla, Taylor Locke and the Midnight Hollow.
► And it’s a second night of Dustin Kensrue at the Troubadour, supported by the Rocketboys and Olin & the Moon.
