If you got all tingly when Veruca Salt did their reunion shows last year, you’re liable to shake with uncontrollable joy upon hearing the quartet’s new songs from their comeback album “Ghost Notes.” The album, the band’s fifth, comes out July 10 and is the first since 1997 to feature the original salty ones — singer-guitarists Nina Gordon and Louise Post, with bassist Steve Lack and drummer Jim Shapiro — who seem in vintage, crunchy form on singles “The Gospel According to Saint Me” and “Laughing in the Sugar Bowl.” The new video for the latter was directed by Tim Rutili. Crash, bang, boom: That’s the sound of a reunion by another band who made the Nineties bearable.
