► Two big shows tonight as part of the BET Experience: Nicki Minaj, Ne-Yo, Tinashe and Rae Sremmurd at Staples Center, and Miguel at Club Nokia.
► Canadian “clubstep” artists Adventure Club — the duo of Christian Srigley and Leighton James [pictured] — hit Exchange LA to do their first L.A. club show since 2013.
► Reunited South Bronx funk-punk pioneers ESG play downtown’s Regent Theater, with Sex Stains and Peaking Lights Acid Test opening.
► New Zealand-bred, Australia-based producer Opiuo brings his live band to the El Rey Theatre.
Run River North and Family Crest play a free show at California Plaza as part of the Grand Performances series.
► With their new album “Music for Dogs” en route in August, Gardens & Villa perform at the Center for the Arts Eagle Rock, with Vinyl Williams opening.
► Bay Area indie-rockers Vetiver headline the Troubadour behind their new album “Complete Strangers,” with the Donkeys opening.
► And the Locust/Blood Brothers/Yeah Yeah Yeahs side project Head Wound City rocks the Echoplex, with Loma Prieta supporting.
